SPECIAL EVENTS INTERN 

We are looking for a competent Special Events Intern to undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks. The Program Coordinator is responsible for planning and organizing programs and activities, as well as carrying out important operational duties. The main task will be planning The Leadership Brainery’s Inaugural National Impact Summit! The LB’s special events intern must be outgoing, organized, detail-oriented, great with young people, comfortable working with diverse teams, a great communicator, a leader, a creative, and a visionary! Program development and curriculum development experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

· Develop LB Curriculum for Ambassadors 

· Lead program planning and coordination

· Ensure implementation of policies and practices

· Maintain budget and track expenditures/transactions

· Manage communications through media relations, social media etc.

· Help build positive relations within the team and external parties

· Schedule and organize meetings/events and maintain agenda

· Ensure technology is used correctly for all operations (video conferencing, presentations etc.)

· Prepare paperwork and order material

· Keep updated records and create reports or proposals

· Support growth and program development

Requirements:

· Proven experience as program coordinator or relevant position

· Knowledge of program management and development procedures

· Knowledge of budgeting, bookkeeping and reporting

· Tech savvy, proficient in MS Office

· Ability to work with diversity and multi-disciplinary teams

· Excellent time-management and organizational skills

· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

MARKETING & PUBLIC RELATIONS INTERN

We are looking for an innovative Marketing & Public Relations Intern to create and maintain a strong and attractive public appearance for The Leadership Brainery. The intern will implement online and in-person marketing strategies and develop national social media campaigns. We desire an outgoing and tech-savvy professional with an interest in communicating with clients through various channels. In this role, we are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and pays strong attention to detail. The LB needs someone who is great in writing and editing, administrative tasks, building a brand, and social media marketing. Ultimately, the goal of the Marketing & Public Relations Intern will be to help ensure clear communication of our organization’s message across all channels.

Responsibilities:

· Help implement communications strategies

· Draft and edit communications (e.g. press releases, publications, social media posts)

· Briefing the team about marketing projects they’ll be working on (for example ebooks, email   campaigns and advertising banners)

· Assist in maintaining web content and executing social media strategies

· Update databases and media lists

· Track projects and media exposure

· Facilitate effective internal communications

· Maintain calendars and appointments

· Prepare presentations and reports

· Craft our differentiation strategy

· Create guidelines that define our company’s voice both online and offline (including terminology   and slogans)

· Conduct competitive research to identify our strengths and weaknesses

· Design all promotional materials

· Develop our social media strategy

· Assess the performance of our fundraising campaigns and events

· Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities and challenges

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Communications Coordinator, Communications Specialist, or similar role

· Understanding of general marketing techniques and strategies

· Understanding of media relations and digital media/marketing strategies

· Proficient in MS Office; familiarity with design software (e.g. Photoshop, InDesign) and content management systems is a plus

· Solid editing and researching skills

· Excellent communication abilities (oral and written)

DEVELOPMENT & FUNDRAISING INTERN

We are looking for an innovative Development & Fundraising Intern. This individual will be a key member of The Leadership Brainery’s annual giving operation and will help manage a portfolio of individual and entity donors. This is a dynamic position for a student leader who enjoys front-line relationship building, finance, grant procurement, and working in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

· Assist the External Executive Director in implementing The Leadership Brainery’s annual   fundraising strategy

· Ensure that donors are accomplishing their philanthropic goals and ambitions through relationship building

· Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of current and prospective donors

· Increase the number of donors and upgrade the giving levels of existing donors participating in the annual giving program

· Research potential foundations and private grants to identify donors

· Make direct and face-to-face solicitations

· Use Raiser’s Edge to track and cultivate donors and prospective donors

· Use wealth screening tools for prospect research

· Track and report progress using specific metrics

· Support the External Executive Director and other team members with projects that contribute to the organization’s overall goals and other duties as assigned

Requirements:

· Experience as a multi-faceted fundraiser and marketer for a nonprofit

· Database experience and a demonstrated understanding of the importance of gathering good data, establishing metrics, and preparing reports

· Proven achievement and expertise in development planning and management of major and planned gifts through knowledge of various methods of charitable giving and knowledge of the legal and tax   implications of both current and planned gifts

· Demonstrated effectiveness in non-profit fundraising and program enhancement, including   strategic planning, supervision and program development

· Ability to generate enthusiasm and coordinate community and civic groups, businesses and individuals to work together to benefit the LB

· Strong knowledge of social media and digital marketing

· Junior or Senior at an accredited four-year institution

Research Fellow 

The Leadership Brainery Research Fellow will be a graduate student who will be responsible for conducting analytical work on issues related to The LB diversity research priorities, which include assessing pipeline programs, supporting undergraduate student leaders, analyzing admissions data and taking additional steps to increase the diversity in higher education. This position will oversee research and analysis projects, and provide research counsel and support to colleagues. In addition, this position will assist with the implementation of The LB Annual Report.

Responsibilities:

· Assist in the development of the organization’s diversity research agenda

· Collaborate on diversity research projects with IED

· Conduct statistical analyses on a variety of research projects using both internal and external data;   communicate findings to varying audiences in succinct briefs and blogs

· Generate output from statistical analysis for use in research reports, other statistical analyses, and for   specialized uses with employers, law school admissions professionals, deans, and diversity & inclusion personnel

· Create resources to assist and support students from underrepresented groups to aid their successful   matriculation to law school

· Participate in team assignments and special project responsibilities and ensure commitments are fulfilled

· Effectively manage deadlines and multiple tasks

· Other duties as assigned.

· Ability to translate general inquiries into specific research, analysis questions and tasks

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Experience writing research briefs and reports

· Keen attention to detail and presentation skills

· Foundational knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods

· Experience working with college students from historically underrepresented groups

· Proven record of research capability

· Graduate School Candidate at an accredited institution
