When can I apply to be a Leadership Brainery Ambassador (LBA)?
Who can participate in the program?
Attend a United States accredited 4-year college or university
Are in their sophomore year of college (this includes students who will be graduating in Fall 2023, Spring 2024, or Summer 2024)
Identify as a first-generation and/or diverse student
Are actively involved in leadership roles on campus or within their community
Have a desire to attend graduate or professional school
Are willing to invest their time and effort into the entire program
What is the cost?
There is no application or program cost. Through the generous support of our sponsors and donors, we are able to offer this program tutition-free to all accepted students.
What does commitment look like for the program?
The LBA Program is highly interactive and community driven. Therefore, we expect LBAs to:
Represent Leadership Brainery as a responsible, respectful, and inclusive leader;
Commit to the full term of the program;
Maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above;
Remain active in a leadership role within at least one campus or community organization;
Attend and be an active participant at all required LBA activities;
Complete postgraduate test preparation and admissions coaching; and
Intend on enrolling at a post-graduate/professional school after graduation.
I submitted my application before the deadline. When will I hear back?
All students will be notified of their application status in December.
When does the LBA Program begin?
Each LBA cohort will begin in January of their sophmore year.
Do I need to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to participate?
No you do not need to be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident to participate in the program.
Does each Ambassador represent their home residence or university-based residence?
Each Ambassador represents their university-based residence.
Am I guaranteed acceptance into a graduate or professional school?
No. As an LBA you will receive development and preparation for graduate and professional school. We will work with each Ambassador to ensure that they are qualified and on track for the admissions process. The LBAs overall commitment to the program and preparation will determine their chances for admittance.
